Passed the Mt Vernon bus on 270 last night after the Central Crossing game . You could feel the energy. Was good to see some of the familiar faces all lite up and exicted. Roll on Jackets roll on

Gahanna and Westerville South had a Classic game tonight - A very nice game between two good teams. South won 2-1 in 10 innings
South tied the game up in the bottom of the 7th and won it in the bottom of the 10th. Two good pitchers going head to head - With Gahanna's throwing an excellent game,This is one of those games you hate to see a team lose.Great job Girls !
And good luck to both teams the rest of the way.

One of the first things DD did when she walked in the door last night was tell us about the passing buses and how she even got to exchange some conversation with you and her former travel-ball teammates. Oh, how she loved playing for you.

Excitement is high at Mount Vernon. Still lots of work to be done, but the new coach has got the team fired up. Now all the remaining Central Division teams need to help each other out by getting some wins against Westerville South or there won't be much suspense regarding league championship. They've got such a strong team . . .

CGS, I still think about the classic accidental [ hands on the knees steal sign] in Toledo. One of my favorite softball tales

It's especially funny now because when I tell the story I can say "back then, she didn't exactly have speed." Today, as a result of natural weight loss and a killer conditioning program, she actually does have speed. Last night she legged out two infield slap hits. Now I still don't think Crystal S. has anything to worry about ;D

CGS, Here's a softball story. Last Saturday at our triway some of the 8th grade parents were in attendence. While I was at the 8th grade game last Tuesday a few of them came up and introduced themselves and commented on the events last Saturday. One of the mothers said that she and her husband had a hard time telling who or how many lefties were on the team. She had a puzzled look when I told her that actually none of the girls were natural left handers. Pull the corners up and slap it by them. Back the corners up and put it in front of them was my explanation. By the look on the groups faces I don't think they knew what I was saying , But by this time next year I think it will be a little clearer for them.

CGS, We will be in your neck of the woods Monday the 17th. We picked up a game with Clearfork yesterday. Kids aren't to thrilled about the distance to travel but I always enjoy a nice bus ride through the country. J.V. to play at Galagher's , Varsity at Clearfork High School

Hudson 4

Hudson had the bases loaded one out in the bottom of 7, with one across in the comeback bid, not to be though. Last out recorded on a runner interference call between 1st & 2nd base, game teetered either way based on the umpire's call (the proper call unfortunately), as the throw skidded by 1st basewoman. Very entertaining game, 2 good teams.
