Who can help getting one of these toghter...without spending big bucks?

We are a SOftball Booster Group in our area that supports out travel teams and donates some proceeds to HS team and want to assit with some of our rec ball funding as well.

What are the steps o get a 501.c3 to pull in the big donors and events?

Talk to an accountant or experienced attorney and have them do this for you. Their services can be written off as a donation to your organization.

They have a 501-C-3 template on the IRS website that you can use as an outline. Articles of organization, By Laws and yearly budget will make up the biggest part of your application. It usually takes 3-4 months before your get your tax exempt status if you fill everything out right the first time.
