8U Coach Pitch Tourneys

How many teams out there are looking for 8U Coach Pitch tourneys?? We are putting a team together and are looking to host a few tourneys if there is enough interest. Would likely be ASA Rules/Sanctioning, around $200 w/ at minimum 3 GG, prizes to be determined. Tourney would be held at Northmor HS in the Galion/Lexington area. Thanks!!! Shayne

Look at NSA Tournament thread we have added 8u to all of our Tournaments for 2012. We have had 2 8u tournaments each year for the past three years and have had at least one 8u Tournament for about 6 years. Great fun and competition has steadily improved.

I know the tourneys are out there, but I would be real careful with the kids at that age. If it is like work or is about the parents the kids will sour on the game. This may be unpopular with the hardcore, but keep them having fun so they want to go out in the yard and do things.

Is there a listing of 8U teams in the Columbus / Dayton area. My relatives DD just turned 7 and will begin taking some hitting lessons in January. We were talking softball over the holidays and was aksing about it.

Vikings Elite out of Ashville Ohio has an 8u team for the 2012 season. We will be hosting our own tournament in June 22nd-24th for 8u thru 16u. Check out our website at league line up for details. We are also looking for any 8u teams in the central ohio area that would be interested in playing some friendles this spring. Thank you

We started playing travel 8u last summer as Southern Ohio Impact. We played in a couple World Series and some qualifiers. We hit several different associations such as NSA and ASA. Our girls had a blast and learned a ton at the same time. We are always looking for u8 and u9 tournaments to enter. We are currently trying to set our schedule for travel this year. If anyone has info on tournaments for this year, please pass along the information.

We host the 8 Under ASA Coach Pitch World Series in Zanesville, Ohio for the last two years and have had really nice turn out of teams..

The Memorial day weekend tournament at Mt.Vernon has added 8u to this event ! Contact Monica Pryor at 740-504-4385 to enter . I can also put your team on the team list on the tournament thread under asa tournamnets ! This is May 25th-27th .

The Firefighters Memorial Tournament has 8u as well to their tournament this year. It is 225.00 for a 3 game gurantee. We have 3 pd teams already and 2 called today saying they would send in checks. We would love to have at least 6-8.

We at the Wizards have 3 8u teams, we hold 4 kid pitch (then coach if player gets 4 balls) tourneys.

I think it is a great idea. My little one is 10 this year but started playing when she was 5. There was nothing around for 8u then and she had to play 10u with the big girls which at times made me nervous. She held her own and is a better player for it but it would have been nice to let her play with girls closer to her age....and size. I'm glad to see that it is now becoming more available to those who are ready to get started at the younger ages. Plus they are so cute to watch!!!!

Our girls started playing travel at 8u. They had the BEST SUMMER and made a ton of friends along the way that they still look forward to seeing each summer. Handled properly - 8u can be a great start for young players.

Diamonds organization out of Marion has two 8u teams this year. One of our teams is registered for the following tournaments:

Firefighters Memorial-May 25-26 at Berliner
Fireworks Blowout-June28-30 in West Liberty
2013 Pride Challenge NSA Championship-July 19-21 in Lancaster
North American All Sanctioned World Series-July 26-28 at Berliner

I know there were more 8u tournaments offered as well.
