Well benbudda my daughter is the pitcher from wayne and i coach angie clark, katlyn emmel in summer ball 16u roadwarriors all three were honored to represent there school and conference i think they all had a different perspective of how there tryout went, nicol got to throw to a dad that was there spectating not enough catchers i guess.she throws mid 50"s with 5 good pitches personally is she good enough to be on the team NO I've seen better and that's what motivates her to get better. The one thing she did get out of it was she got to meet some of her competitors and that was nice.as far as the 3 coaches voting there own players on the team they were not aloud to vote nor would i exspect any of them to do that.i think bouldersdad is right congrats to the ones that made it.

Actually I think I was the one giving the players that made it their due. Others were wondering why some did not make it, and then ended up giving them some credit well after many posts. I was unaware that the coaches were not able to vote for players from their own team but that makes sense. Having seen Wayne play I know that they had some worthy candidates for sure. Same for Piqua and W. Carrollton. This will be a well coached team with some excellent players representing this part of the state.

Southwest scores

Southwest 3
Northwest 6

Southwest 3
East 5

The Southwest was 2-3 for the tournament. We made some key errors that lost us the games. The pitching was very good though. The other teams hitting was better today.

Congrats to the Central District on going 5-0 in the Underclassman Tournament...Our 3 pitchers (Emma Johnson-Groveport/Lasers White, Kellie Raudabush-Hilliard Darby/Nightmare and Kelsey Long-Pick Central/Classics Purple) combined to give up just 1 unearned run in 5 games!!! Our 3 catchers (Kenzie Bonner, Kayla Ledbetter and Jesse Day) also rocked in the heat, catching and calling a great tournament.

Our hitting and defense was also very solid. I would say that 6-8 young ladies hit around .500 for the tourney, led by Kayla Ledbetter, Erin Lashley, Hanna Toler, Katie Kilbaine, Dakota Pyles, Kellie Raudabush, Maggie Zych, Kirstie Ferinbach and Kelsey Long.

Sorry if I left out a name or two, as all 20 young ladies provided steller defense throughout the entire 5 games!!! If memory serves me right, I only remember the one error the entire tournament. Special props to both our 2nd basemen (Katie Ardrey and Hanna Toler) who made at least a dozen or more sweet plays between them.

And a special "Thank You" to both Ted Williams of Grove City and Sarah Looker of Dublin Jerome for providing the leadership and experience for all 20 of the young ladies!!!

And finally after 2 days of roasting in the Sun at Pick Central, coming off 3 days at Compuware, I must say that I am happily burnt out on softball right now!!! :)

How did the northeast district finish? Did Mindy Merideth and Jen Solanics pitch most of the games for them?

The Northeast finished 3-2 this year. Got beat by the Central team and the Southwest. The pitchers and catchers rotate every 3 innings and the position players rotate every 4 innings. Everyone bats. Mindy and Jen did a great job again for the NE. Freshman Alyssa Mast from Dalton was the third pitcher and did a good job as well. The girls played hard and had a lot of fun!
