I watched our only 8 under Ohio team (roadrunners) team lose to a Kentucky team. I never knew that kids could pitch in 8 under. I got there in the 2 inning and they said Roadrunners had to many errors in the 1rst inning.

That's fun to watch the little one's pitch. I was at this tourney last year and it was a first for me to I didn't know that I thought it was called coach pitch for a reason.

Indiana Crush beat Motor City Madness Red in the Championship Game.

This is not for the 12U. We (Silver Creek Starz) got beat in the semis by Lady Lightning, and it looks as though they beat the Indiana Smash in the Finals. A shout out to my buddy Eddie Chevalier and his Wolfpack making a run to the quarter-Finals. This was a very well-run tournament with plenty of time in-between games to ensure nothing ran past time. We had some weather delays yesterday that put us behind but all Sunday Bracket play was played as scheduled. I would definitely go back.

Upper Arlington Golden Bears and Wizards Nemesis are also 8u teams from Ohio. Unfortunately, both of those teams were eliminated in the first bracket play games.

Not sure I'm reading the brackets correctly, but it looks like PGH LADY ROADRUNNERS-JUBAS beat OHIO HEAT TOLEDO in the U14 final. Was really proud of our CO Lady Vipers-Kern and their performance in U14. Finished in the final 16 and the girls and coaches made us all very proud to be part of the Viper family. Thanks Michele, Myron Doug and KJ and especially a great group of girls for a fun season. Can't wait till next year.

PGH LADY ROADRUNNERS-JUBAS did win the 14u beating OHIO HEAT TOLEDO in the 14u final. We (Heart of Ohio Fear Factor) were defeated by PGH LADY ROADRUNNERS-JUBAS in the final four. They were a very solid team all around!

Could some explain something to me,' NO WHERE I MEAN NO WHERE' in the rules did anyone see that in the 8u games the kids would be pitching? The rules the coaches got said nothing about kids pitching but when questioned they appeared!! Its called " COACH PITCH" for a reason!!! I will tell you this those were the best 8u teams I have every seen. Congrats to both!!!!

The rules allowed that the defensive team could choose to have a player pitcher in 8u. They could only pitch 4 balls total. That is exactly the same rule as 2013. It is completely optional to have a pitcher, but it is the pitching team that chooses. The change this year was calling balls and strikes. That showed up on the rules in the packet. I have the the 8u rules for the past 2 years that have been available on the Fastpitch Showdown website.

Seen the rules on-line, don't agree with them. 8u coach pitch is called that for a reason, if you want a player to pitch move them up. At every tourney I was at that had a 8u div the coached pitch even in Indiana where the roadrunners played this summer. I guess I just don't understand why?
