As a parent i'm going to relax, sit in the bleachers in her school's shirt, and enjoy my DD's first college season this spring, making as many games as possible.
Travel wise, i think it will be more laid back ( at least for me) having the recruiting ordeal behind us. She will complain about getting up on Sundays so early, and she'll sleep all the way to the park.
Being thats its hers (and mine) last season of travel ball, it doesnt really matter what she or the team does, i'm going to savor every minute, remembering her t-ball days up to what she is now, wishing we could do it all again.

I have no clue , too many new/unseen players on our team this year. But I'm not sure if you wanted a team outlook or a more personal anticapation of our own DD's. I hope my kid cuts down on her "picky ness" at the plate . She bats leadoff and is caught between trying to see alot of pitches , as ask by one of her coaches , and being agressive and busting that 1st good pitch. as a parent it drives me to ulcers. I sweat she spent the whole last year hitting 3-2 , 2-2 or 1-2 . Would like to see her show she slap effectively. On D show better tracking of the ball in the gap , (centerfielder) and cut off those line drive rollers that roll to the fence. Improve arm strength . thats about it. MD

This is my DD first travel season. I was going to not coach and just be a fan but I found that my DD is the only one on the team that can pitch. Then I found they need to teach some to pitch and have no one to do it so I was drafted to coach the pitchers. I dont mind at all but the expectations of a season can change just like that. LOL

2120: If you are playing travel ball with only one pitcher I would have to think that she and her team are going to be in for a rough summer. Most teams will have 2 or 3 pitchers and some more. The losers bracket on Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday can be brutal. (If you never get into the losers bracket, and you play in small tournaments, I guess it is not a problem having only one pitcher.)

Yeah it certainly doesnt look to good. I have already started working with my DD on the mental aspect since being the only developed pitcher it will be amplified. Is a difficult rope to walk. I want to instill competitivness but need her to relax and let go and pitch one at a time. It wont help with her team and her coaches praying that she can get through cause the next line of defense may not be much.
You never know though - have a little time maybe can get one of them trained to be decent.
