ASA and the Double 1st Base Question

I know ASA requires the double first base-- but my question is have any one ever seen that requirement waivered. I am not familiar with the ASA code so will take any help I can get. Thanks.

Are you talking about what ASA defines as "championship play" (a qualifier that awards a berth to a higher level tournament) or just an ASA sanctioned tournament?

I've seen non-championship tournaments use a single base. But always a double base in championship tournament play, though.

We played at Boardman Fields of Dreams and there were no safety bags.

From what I know, it is not a qualifier -- it is at the end of July and it would make everyone's life easier since at Beavercreek we only use single bases (most events are USSSA).
