To all----I should have the schedule all confirmed by Tuesday evening. There are several reasons why the schedule is late: some teams have had to pull out because of injuries; som eteams have asked about getting in and I am trying to accomodate those teams; Thursday's night lightning struck one bank of lights on a diamond and we didn't discover that damage until Friday night so I am not sure if we will be able to use that diamond for night games; it's the 4th of July and I took most of the day off.

The 14U group is confirmed at 14 teams--all 14 teams will play at 900am on Saturday.

The 16U is either at 13 or 14 teams and all that group starts at 1030am.

the 18U group has 13 or 14 teams and they all start at noon.

That as far as I am with the schedulle at this time...Bob

Anyone have the results of who finished in the upper brackets for the 14u and 16u divisions based on Saturday's play?

16U - SGS Magic and Cincy Storm finished at the top of their pools on Saturday. Sunday both SGS Magic and Cincy Storm won their sides of the brackets to play for the Championship which Storm won 5-1. Terminators and Ohio Lynx tied for 3rd.

In 14U, OFC Heat defeated Ohio Danger 4-2 for the tournament championship. Miami Valley Express Red and River City Rockers tied for third place.

18U was won by Ohio Danger Red with Cincy Storm as Runner-up. Buckeye Heat and Heart of Ohio Fire tied for 3rd. BTW, the 18U championship game was due to start at 8pm and actually started at 804pm. This was a great game to watch with some clutch hitting and fielding by two very impressive teams.

I would like to thank Bob Darden for running another great tournament. Not only does Bob do a great job running the tournaments, but Rotary Park must be one of the fan friendliest venues in Ohio. You can bring drinks and coolers, etc into the park AND the concession stand sells a wide variety of food and drink at reasonable prices. And no more complaining about the Port-O-Lets!
