INFIELD DEFENSE: SESSION 1 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm ALL AGES
Description: Join Coach Salsburg and the BGSU softball players as they breakdown infield play. The fundamentals of playing the infield will be taught, while also discussing the intricate details that make playing the infield so important. Topics covered will include throwing, proper ready position, general footwork, footwork around the bag, and more. Campers will leave with fun drills to do at home!
CATCHING : SESSION 2: 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm ALL AGES
Description: The Catching camp will focus on the basic mechanics and issues catchers deal with on a daily basis. Topics discussed will include framing, receiving, blocking, throwing, and bunt coverage. We will also discuss how to foster a championship catcher/pitcher relationship.
POWER HITTING AND THE OFF SPEED PITCH: SESSION 3 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm ALL AGES *Limited to 40 Hitters*
Description: Join Coach Salsburg, her staff, and BGSU softball players as they introduce the simple hitting approach used at BGSU. The focus of the clinic will be on hitting the off speed pitch through drills and instruction. Campers will learn the secrets and skills that have aided the BGSU softball team in setting school records and becoming one of the best power hitting teams in the conference as well.
ALL CAMPS WILL BE HELD AT BGSU SOFTBALL FIELD (MESERVE FIELD)
