What year are most of these bats from? My DD uses Xeno's but I'm curious, she has an Easton as a backup to her 2 Louisville Sluggers....

Bats were mostly from 05 to 07. Great bats. The one piece bats are extremely durable. Happens to be what my daughter has used for last 2 years. My bat investment just went to 0 so not very happy. Her bats have passed compression tests also, but now they can't be used? It is interesting that it is just the old eastons, not some of the other old bats like the phenix or other purportedly hot pre-ABI bats. The NCAA has a much longer list of banned bats still in use for ASA. Will these bats get included? Have a feeling a new ASA stamp is coming much like NSA and USSSA did a few years back.

The SCN1B was one of the , if not the best bat made. Alot of these bats arent around anymore anyway, theyve over time faded out. Now if you did want to use one you cant, you have to buy a new one. This was Eastons motive. My question is, why the hell does Easton have any say on whats legal?

could it be that it is time to spend more money to buy a new one? Easton bats last forever especially the older ones that means less sales and less money so this could be a reason to buy more bats. Just in my time I have seen men in the slowpitch game and kids in the fastpitch game go through a bat or two in a season sometimes more with other brands like demarini, miken, worth but not Easton they are built like a tank. I am not speaking for the newer eastons not as familiar with them as my dd loves demarini but all those old Easton synergy scn2, scn3, scx3, scx23, scx2 these bats last years and years heck the ones that we used took a whole summer of bp and games before it even started to open up then it got stupid hot though for many years that's why some of them would sell for 6 and 7 hundred bucks used on ebay and other online forums back in my slowpitch days.

Would be nice to get Warrens take for PGF since that's what half my DD's tourneys are this summer. Would like to know if she can use her bats at all anymore.

I know a few guys who have stockpiled some of these older Eastons. They paid a pretty penny for them thinking that they could flip them and make a profit. Not so much anymore. I can see a fire sale on ebay to hopefully sell them off at a "heck of a deal" to those who do not have the info :)

Yes those old extended and flex synergy bats were going for 600 online and I seen the original black and yellow synergy in the wrapper asking price was 1000 I did not pay that much for my first car. lol

ATTENTION BANNED EASTON BAT USERS: After a live chat with EASTON, I could not get a straight answer as to why several Easton bats were "voluntarily" removed from the ASA list in January of 2016. I was offered a 50% off coupon for a new bat if I sent my DD's old bat in to Easton. I declined the offer and did more research. (http://www.asasoftball.com/iowa/pdfs/03_Updated_FAQs.pdf) This link is to ASA FAQ's regarding bat certification. After reading this document, I discovered that if a bat is removed from the approved list, the manufacturer, by contract with ASA, has two options, 1. recertify your bat, or 2. issue a recall for all of the bats. Armed with this information I called Easton back. During this call, I was finally told that the reason the bats were removed was to reduce the number of Easton bats in circulation that ASA had to keep testing for compliance. Citing the ASA contract with bat manufacturers, I asked the customer service rep what Easton was going to do about the situation. He said that Easton was definitely not going to recertify, and I was again offered the 50% off deal. I pressed more because that did not sound like a recall to me. He finally conceded that Easton was required to replace the bat with a "like model". I'm not sure, but to do the exchange you need to be the original owner of the bat your turning in. However, even if you are not the original owner, they may still offer the 50% deal.
Good luck and spread the word on this.
