Event Summary: Top Recruit? is hosting an all-inclusive early 16u/18u Fall exposure tournament in Central Kentucky at the Elizabethtown Sports Park with 2018 Music City National Classic berths at stake. This is an all-inclusive exposure event; including an optional college camp (for players to signup separately for), a college coaches teams clinic, showcase pool play and a single elimination round on Sunday.
Event Format: The berths awarded are for Summer 2018's Music City National Classic ( 16u/18u ). All FALL Top Recruit events will award berths for Top 6 Finishers of our tournaments to our 2018 Music City National Classic & Futures Classic tournaments in MUSIC CITY USA - Nashville, TN June 25-July 1, 2018.
Exposure Tournament - 3 Pool with Single elim (Bracket), Collegiate Team Clinic and Optional Individual Player Camp (will be on Saturday Sept 9th 6:30p-10:30p) available for registration (link to be provided at a later date). All teams should plan on playing on Friday. Final games will begin around 3-4pm on Sunday.
Tournament Size: 50
# of Guaranteed Games: 4 games + 1 College Coaches Team Clinic per team (structured scrimmage)
Stay2Play Event: This is a Stay2Play event. The CSTT hotel accommodations link will be posted at a later date in this section. Teams residing outside of 75 miles from E-town are REQUIRED to stay at the partnered properties otherwise will incur a $500 fee to stay at a location of their choice. Reservation confirmation numbers must be submitted within 48 hours of the tournament's first day of games.
Minimum # of room nights per team required per night: 8 rooms per night (i.e, 8 rooms Friday and 8 rooms Saturday)
Local Team Hotel Exemption: For teams traveling less than 75 miles one way (more details below), you must apply for this during the tournament registration process.
Umpires: PAY AT THE PLATE (PAP): Teams are responsible for paying Umpires at the plate $35/game per team.
Tournament Balls: Included
Awards: Top 6 Finishers will be awarded berths awarded for Summer 2018's Music City National Classic ( 16u/18u ). Top 2 of each division guaranteed a Power Pool Berth.
Age Divisions: 16u Premier & Open, 18u Premier & Open. We reserve the right to combine Premier & Open divisions if numbers are insufficient.
Combine Info: Combine testing will be available for $20/player. More info tba.
Pool Play Showcase Games: Pool Play will NOT be for seeding purposes as FALL exposure is more geared towards showcasing players. For this reason, all three (3) Pool play games will be played in a situational showcase-style as structured below. Umpires will already be aware of this. Please have your teams prepared so the games run smoothly:
Rules: USA Softball rules. Bat your lineup, free substitution for showcase Pool Play Games. Length of Pool Games tbd. Bat your lineup, courtesy runners for Pitcher/Catcher for Bracket Play. Length of Bracket Games tbd
