Buckeye Heat Tryouts 2014/2015

Buckeye Heat 01-Gill (central Ohio) is coming off a successful season. Overall record for the 2013-2014 season was 31-24-2 in tournament play. One championship, one runner up and a 3rd place finish playing up at 14u one tournament. We played a very strong schedule against the tops teams in the state all season including the Storm Early Bird, Dayton Metro, Laser Nation, ASA States and ASA Eastern Nationals. We have a great core returning but will be looking for 4 or 5 players. Looking for at least one whose is primarily an infielder, at least one primarily for outfield and pitching.
This is my 5th year with the Buckeye Heat, 4th as head coach. Prior to that I coached travel for 7 years with my oldest daughter who is now a junior pitcher at Muskingum university. She also helps me coach.
I have already been hearing from a lot of players coming to our tryouts. Can't wait to see them all. Feel free to contact me ahead of time if you have any questions or in need of a private tryout.

Buckeye Heat '02-Hoiles is looking to have athletic, competitive players that have the desire and drive to play at a higher level. Roster spots and playing time are earned on our team so all positions are open. We will play a competitive schedule consisting of 2-3 fall tournaments plus friendlies, 1 or 2 winter tournaments, spring friendlies, and 7-8 summer tournaments concluding with a World Series or National Tournament. We will practice year round, our outdoor practice field is @ Elmwood Softball field in Bloomdale Ohio. We practice indoors at Perry field house on BGSU Campus and several high school gyms in the area. I do have a daughter on the team that plays 1B and 3rd, she is not a pitcher. I have been the Elmwood Varsity Softball Coach for the last 15 years and have coached travel softball or baseball for around 20 years. Buckeye Heat tryout times for Central OH and NWO are listed on page one. I will be at both tryouts for the Buckeye Heat (Central and NWO) so if you are interested in our team please let me know which location you will be at. I will also conduct private tryouts if needed. I am Chad Noggle, head coach of the '99 team. It is great to be part of the Buckeye Heat. I have a very good core group that I will be bringing with me. This past summer we competed in 6 tournaments. Finished runner up twice and champions once. We are a versatile group with players being able to play 2 or more positions well. We will be looking for 2 strong pitchers, 3rd baseman and an outfielder. Our plan is to play on Sundays in the Fall, practice or play indoor in the winter and 6-7 tournaments next summer. The 16U Buckeye Heat - Yeater is based out of Central Ohio and will be looking for 5-6 players. We need a pitcher, catcher, several outfielders, and a couple versatile players that can play a middle infield position and/or a corner position.
We will likely play a couple fall tourneys/showcases and participate in some fall friendlies. Over the winter we will do some indoor scrimmages and possibly an indoor tourney or camp. The summer season will fire up after HS season with us playing in 7-8 tourneys including a Nationals/World Series.
We will likely practice once a week in the fall once the team is set...A couple times a month over the winter...and then weekly practices after HS season is complete.

Will be held on Saturday, August 16 at the beautifully kept Avery Park at 7401 Avery Road, Dublin, OH 43017. We will run a morning and afternoon session to accommodate players that want to attend multiple tryouts.
We will be running tryouts for all ages bracket (10U thru 18U) at the same time. We have reserved 4 fields so each age bracket will workout on separate fields.
The morning session will begin at 8:00 am with pitchers and catchers and go for roughly and hour. During this hour we will also take registrations for those who have not utilized our online registration process. At 9:00 am we will begin the hitting, throwing/fielding as well as our speed and agility portion of the tryout. We will conclude the morning session about 11:00 am with a communication meeting where parents and players will have access to coaches to answer any questions. The afternoon session will follow the same format with pitchers and catchers starting at 1:00 pm.
