Camps, New recruting rules , Money ???

So when recruiting rules were changed about 2 years ago, I thought it was a good thing. 7th and 8th graders making verbal commitments was crazy. But now because communication is all but closed off until September Junior year for D1 and June for D2, I feel its actually costing parents more money with camps. My daughter gets so many emails for camp invites , I bet 90% of them are fundraising...Even the ones that do not look mass emails , I still can't tell if its a personal invite. I think at the very least moving that date back to 6/1 of sophomore year would allow real feedback that summer showcase season. Still got time , but running out of cash !
