Catcher's mitt

DD's mitt blew out on her tonight while catching a pitcher's pitching lesson. Any recommendations on a good mitt and where to buy it? She's 16U and playing high school ball, Thanks in advance for the help.

Depends on how much you want to spend. You can get an easton or mizuno for under 100 bucks and they will do well for just school ball. If she planns on catching into the summer, you wil want to go with a better quality and have to spend a little more. My dd destroyed both of her easton mitts in a year to year and a half. She is now on two years with her nakona and it still feels new but we went with the buckaroo. It is the top end and has a bufalo palm and kangaroo back. We payed quite a bit for it but she catches for schoot team (hopefully, as a freshman) and all summer for travel. You can get entry level nakonas for 150 or so.

I love Akadema mitts! They last for years and come pretty much broken in. You can order them from their website!

DD (18U) just loves the smaller sized mitts. She says she has better control of the glove and it is much better to scoop.

I know Wilson has a smaller mitt. Not sure if others do.
