I want to let people know about the changes happening in the Queen of Diamonds at KSU on January 7th and 8th. I know there has been some confusion and want to clear it up.

The Queen of Diamonds starts Saturday, January 7th after the KSU Showcase Camp. College coaches are invited to work and watch both events. In the past there have been as many as 100 college coaches who attended on Saturday to watch the KSU camp and QD games.

College coaches can now work the QD and will be giving instruction and coaching kids. All sessions are open to any and all athletes as long as they meet age and position requirements. Athletes will be admitted based on when they register in order to meet NCAA requirements. This allows college coaches to work.

Saturday night is called QD Futures and is for 9th, 10th, and 11th graders.

This session is from 5:15 to 9:30 p.m. and includes instruction and feedback, live hitting in cages, front toss game situations on the field, mental training, and recruiting information. This will allow for faster moving game action on the field for players to show both their offensive and defensive abilities while getting feedback from college coaches.

Sunday is called QD Futures & Academy for 4th through 9th graders and their parents.
This session is from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.
7th - 9th graders will get instruction and feedback on hitting, bunting, throwing, baserunning including how to improve speed, position work, hitting live in cages, and front toss game sessions.
4th - 6th graders will get instruction and feedback on hitting, throwing, fielding, position work, base running, bunting, and skills challenges.
With registration of an athlete, parents are able to participate in the instruction part of the camp.

Our goal is to educate athletes, parents, and coaches about the skills and strategies of the game with knowledgeable and experienced college coaches.
