Mental part of the game.

These Athletes Need a sharp mental game and during this time it’s important. I have talked to too many Athletes that are depressed and down in the dumps over this stuff. Bring up their spirits and work on the mental game on and off the field.

letting the athletes know they matter and they are important part on and off the field.

there’s a great mental tournament coming up here soon we are entering into. Should be fun. I will share the link on here.

I am ready for on field practice!!

I am making them hit with each other on face time 2 times a week so they hold each other accountable and they stay in touch with each other

a few ideas - team zoom meetings! go through all your film from fall or last season and put together a nice skills video with game clips. You can always study how to maintain and improve your mental game. go on youtube and watch some good old Sue Enquist videos (33% rule is a great one for all to watch!) there a couple of coach Saban speaking at a youth football camp i love too... can always kill some time watching Kent Murphy drills! lol

Work on POSITIVE self talk! especially during this time. call your grandparents too!!!!!!!

i am going to check out that link Jeff. Thanks for posting!

Right now I am putting together a 2-4 week "spring training" program am will mail it out to my team this week for them to start Monday the 11th. The girls have been doing things on their own to stay as sharp, but it is not the same. I want to make sure they are ready for that first tournament, whenever that might be. I worry about injuries. The workout will not just include fielding ground balls and hitting off a tee... It will include CORE Workout, SPEED Workout, Agility/Plyometrics. I am going to encourage my parents to hold them to this along with their teammates. Getting these girls ready to compete is really import especially as they get into the 14-18U age groups. 10 and 12s probably can dive right back in a lot easier.

hope all the girls are throwing a little bit every day or every other day. keep those arms warmed up... hate to jump into a tourney and like jay said, injuries because of time off and no practices.
