The Buckeye Heat organization has teams in and around the central Ohio area as well as teams from northwest Ohio and the greater Toledo area.

Buckeye Heat tryouts in central Ohio will be held on Saturday, August 9 and Saturday, August 16 at the beautifully kept Avery Park at 7401 Avery Road, Dublin, OH 43017. We will run a morning and afternoon session to accommodate players that want to attend multiple tryouts.

and fill out our online registration form and save yourself from standing in line at tryouts!!!

The morning session will begin at 8am with pitchers and catchers and go for roughly and hour. During this hour we will also take registrations for those who have not utilized our online registration process. At 9am we will begin the hitting, throwing/fielding as well as our speed and agility portion of the tryout. We will conclude the morning session about 11am with a communication session where parents and players will have access to coaches to answer any questions.

The afternoon session will follow the same format with pitchers and catchers starting at 1pm and concluding about 4pm.

I coached in the Buckeye Heat organization for many years and I would strongly recommend prospective coaches to check out this organization. I am currently retired and living in Fort Myers, Fl but my best memories come from being a coach in this organization. I was brought in by Joe Abraham and I have had the privilege to coach not only in the same organization but along side of him in several tournaments. Those were the highlights of my life. I met so many awesome people over the year including the current president Shane Yeaters. I remember the first time I had a conversation with him sitting on the hill with him between games at the old GFOD fields in Bellville.

Just so you all know Shane still owes me a steak dinner... story coming later unless Shane wants to fess up..
