DEFENSIVE SKILL TRAINING - there is more to this game than just hitting and pitching

DOES YOUR DAUGHTER NEED TO IMPROVE HER FIELDING SKILLS? Does she need to learn correct throwing and catching skills? is she afraid to slide or dive? LEARN THE RIGHT WAY TO DO THESE SKILLS BEFORE THE SPRING/SUMMER SEASONS BEGIN. Banish the fear of grounders, learn to leap in the air for a line drive and make an accurate throw as your feet hit the ground, and learn to dive for balls in a safer quicker method. The more skilled your daughter becomes, the safer she will be on the field.

Chris Miner, Owner of Diamonds and Dreams fastpitch Academy and National A.S.A. Hall-of-Famer, and retired Division i/ii collegiate coach, will be holding defensive classes and sliding clinics at the D&D Academy starting in Jan. 2014. Training techniques for beginners to advanced levels will be taught.

The style taught will be a quicker, faster method of fielding and throwing necessary for the increased speed of the game. These training techniques are becoming extremely prevalent at the collegiate level as many west coast players have been learning this style for several years now and college coaches are adopting these drills and methods.

Chris does a tremendous job with her defensive skills class! My DD has attended 2 six week sessions in the past and our team (Mason Thunder 99 Lewis) has been working with her for 9+ weeks and the results are impressive as I have witnessed improvement in all of our players. If you are familiar with the "Kubota" defensive training classes; this is very similar. I have been coaching fastpitch for 15 years and I still learn something in every single session with Chris. Get your DD there and see for yourself.
