I was talking with a friend this weekend who's daughter is a softball player for a Division 1 program and has been suffering a nagging knee injury that was dismissed by the school but was discovered over Christmas break when her family took her to an orthopaedic doctor.....needless to say his young lady will be having surgery on her ACL/MCL next week but the doctor is concerned about the amount of scar tissue that has already formed due to lack of proper medical care (the school did an xray and the trainer told her it was a sprain but in fact, it is torn in two places) I told him I remember reading a similar thread on robocoach and I wanted to share this message with the Board. When considering your daughter's school, make sure you inquiry about athletic services available to your kids.....it's a good read (it's starts off talking about funding then the thread developes into athletic services and some nightmare situations)
