I highly recommend this for families.

What Doug teaches is very similar to what I'm doing and believe it to be the most effective and safest way to pitch. Here's the thing; this one weekend is not going to make you a pitcher nor will it make you an instructor. What it can do is show you the similarities and differences of your current pitching instructor and give you a basis for deciding if your instructor is worthy of your loyalty. Watch the little things. Listen to what Doug says about each kind of pitch. Make notes and compare. Doug is a very effective instructor. Don't get hung up on the things like practice practice practice but more importantly the intimate details in the mechanics. Be patient. Doug normally hits on everything over time so don't jump the gun with questions.

This is a wonderful opportunity regardless of how far you have to drive. Find out from one of the world's best, than bring that knowledge home to grade your own instructor. Question them why your daughter is learning differently and see if their answers make sense.

It's your daughter's arm and her future in the circle at stake. Take it seriously.

We went to Doug's camp when our daughter was 12 years old, at that time she threw a fastball and was trying to learn other pitches.
That weekend Doug taught her to throw a peel dropball, curveball, screwball, and backdoor changeup. We learned so much from the private instruction, our daughter learned the same pitching mechanics of Jennie Finch.
She quickly excelled in tournament fastpitch, it was well worth the money.

More information I thought would be helpful:
Saturday is a two hour session & video analysis with Doug and one other pitcher/family. Sunday is an hour and a half session with Doug and one other pitcher/family. So the weekend camp offers very individualized and personalized instruction.
On Saturday and Sunday, it's only necessary to be there for your scheduled time slot. I will do my best to accommodate schedules/travel time as long as I know well in advance. Time slots start at 7 AM and run throughout the morning and afternoon both days.
There are only 4 spots left and then I will start a waiting list.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions. I'm happy to discuss in more detail.

The Friday night clinic is a great evening for coaches and players. My daughter was 14 when we attended; both of us learned more about the game of softball and enjoyed Doug's ability to connect with all of us that attended......while pitching is the focus, all aspects of the game are discussed. The one takeaway that we will always remember is that pitching safely with proper mechanics can be accomplished; by following Doug and Jenny Finch's advice, you will keep your athlete on the field more and at the Physical Therapist's office less(or better yet, never)! Believe me it helped us.

I'd like to add my two cents, since so many others are doing so.

For a team coach, pitching coach, or parent of a pitcher, I highly recommend this clinic. As a pitching coach, I have learned SO MUCH from Doug. I have attended his Friday night clinics two other times.

-At this clinic we learned about safe mechanics. Most pitchers' injuries sneak up over time, and now I know what to watch for and have helped several injured pitchers return to pain-free throwing. This clinic provides a great overview for any coach or parent of a pitcher. Pain is not normal, and it's not ok. It can be avoided.
-Doug recommends a workout structure (what to do and for how long) that is different from the old-school drills. I can't believe what a difference his approach has made for the pitchers I work with. More explosive, more speed, and frankly, more fun.
-Doug is funny, and engaging. He's interesting to listen to, and the clinic went by quickly both times. There's a lot of information, and I'm glad I brought a notebook. And glad I brought my own chair, as we were in a gym when I attended.

Clinics to coach pitching are pretty rare. And I thought Doug's clinic was excellent. He is the authority on safe pitching mechanics. As a coach, I have learned more from him than any other coach or resource. The Friday night clinic provides a good overview on safe mechanics, how to workout your pitchers, and what to watch for regarding injury. I have observed pitchers I coach on Saturday/Sunday and even as their coach I learned by watching Doug coach them, and listening to him answer questions. His video analysis is simple, and direct. No fluff. Just good, sound information. Highly recommend!!

I am a complete believer!
Doug's Clinic completely changed my Daughter's ability to be a competitive player-pitcher at the Tournament and High School level.
Her strength and pitch speed are most impressive, so don't waste your time and money on the "wanna be" coach.
Doug and Brittany are the real deal, and my daughter is living proof.
Huge success story!

I need two pitchers for the video analysis portion of the Friday night clinic. Please contact me if your daughter is interested in volunteering. It's a great way to receive personalized feedback from Doug and there's no additional cost. The pitchers for the video analysis must be pre-registered. Please don't hesitate to contact me with questions.

Update: The two video analysis spots for Friday night have been filled. Spots are still available for Friday night in general. Register online here: https://bmullen.photobiz.com/form/doug-finch-clinic-registration-form

Just to let everyone know, the last time I organized a clinic with Doug was in Nov. of 2013. This is an opportunity that only comes around every so often. So if you're contemplating it, I'd encourage you to take advantage of the clinic this year. Not only is Doug Jennie Finch's dad, but he was her personal coach. His teachings have been tested at the highest level and proven to be at the top in terms of safest and most efficient of anyone in the world. It's important for pitchers to have safe mechanics and for parents to know what to look for and to protect their child's well being.

This is a great opportunity for coaches, pitchers, and parents to learn how to keep pitchers safe while performing at a high level.

Their are many different styles of pitching mechanics that will produce results, but ask yourself these questions.

How effective is your (pitcher's) mechanics ?
How efficient is your (pitcher's) mechanics ?
(most importantly) Does your pitcher have safe mechanics ?

Did you know there are certain pitches that you can not throw safely. This information is backed by facts, physics, and common sense.

In addition to Jennie Finch, Doug has coached many ASA National Champions and NCAA champions.
Find out how these techniques utilizes science to make pitching safe and effective.
Fastpitch softball is a great game whether our daughter's are playing in recreational leagues, playing for their high school or even the dream of playing in College.
There is no substitute for safety.
