?The 16u Miami Valley Xpress team is bringing Doug Gillis to the Cincinnati/Dayton area for a Free Clinic and presentation on October 14th @ 10:00am-1:00pm (arrive @ 9:30). The Clinic will be held @ Fenwick High School ( 4855 St. Rt. # 122, Franklin Ohio).

I have seen several posts on here for these free clinics. Is a new instructor in the area? We are fairly new to travel ball and still learning the ropes. Also, does skill level matter for this clinic?

? No skill level does not matter, Doug has done Clinics in this area in the past. But starting in November Doug will be giving lessons at a facility in Hamilton, this will be the 1st time he has given lessons in this area.

This clinic is free now, but if I'm reading this correctly, it sounds as if he will be coming back? Does that mean the next "lessons" will be of some charge? If so, do you know how much and how often those will be given?

I don't know if he is the "MASTER" or not, but would like to check it out. I've heard mixed feelings on him as you always do.

Yes the Clinic is free, if interested people may sign up for individual lessons( which begin November 3 in Hamilton) @ the clinic or go to Doug's website. I know Doug does charge for individual lessons. As far as length of lesson and cost that is totally up to Doug. I'm sure he will go over this in the Clinic. Looking forward to seeing you there.

My DD sees Bill Hillhouse for pitching, I know Bill and Doug have been friends/teammates/opponents for many years and from what I have seen of Doug (I've been to many of his clinics), both he and Bill teach virtually identical things with different ways and words to explain it. But my question is this: I know Doug is doing this clinic but will it be HIM that does the continuous lessons in Hamilton? He's doing one of these clinics in Indianpolis soon too. How can he be so many places for weekly lessons and still find time to operate his facility!??!?! (Amazing facility by the way!) Doug has many 'satellite' academies but I don't know how much of the teaching HE actually does in them or if it's his 'staff'. Any idea on that Jim?
