End of Season - goodbye odor

Well it is the end of another season and will enjoy first weekend without softball in quite some time. I am planning on cleaning out the car and get rid of the softball smell. Socks that were stuffed in hidden places, sunflower seeds, cleats that make you gag, batting gloves that should be quarantined and half dozen water bottles. A couple high powered air fresheners and will be ready for the offseason.

Wish I knew when the off season is? 2014 started 2 weeks ago for a lot of us.

I'm not aware of an off-season! :cap: All I got was a 2 week "vacation"!

Is there such a thing as an off season? Ok, maybe a few days, lol.

For me is now until fall tournaments but those, indoor, going hitting etc don't junk and funk my car like the summer season does.

Cleaned out the van, vacuumed, wiped down the plastic with those armor all cleaner wipes. Still had the odor of spikes! The cleanliness didn't last long as I ended up hauling equipment to tryouts as well as couple of my DD's friends. Now got diets, rocks, trash in there....start of a new softball season.

Why does DD find it acceptable to shove a horrendously odiferous cleat in your face and say "smell..." Why? Did I raise my daughter that way. In fact her whole team does that to each other.
Actually I wouldn't have it any other way. There is enough makeup, hair flattteners, homecoming, etc during the year that its great when girls can be girls. I keep reminding myself that 4 years ago some celestial force intervened and turned her away from cheer squad and towards softball. Gotta be grateful.

A couple of things:

- DD pulled 30 lbs of garbage out of her bag
- we have practice tonight so that makes it 8 days since she played a game........I am not sure if that counts as an off season considering tryouts were 3 days ago.
- the smell seems to have taken hold, I am fearful that it will not leave the vehicle

Febreze can take care of all your problems!!!!!! Try out their new car vent clips - pretty awesome in freshening & removing odors. Also spraying the Febreze fabric refresher on the carpet & seats (if cloth) will work magic. I just happen to know the guy who works on this stuff for Febreze :)

I have always hid dryer sheets throughout the car. It helps....

DD's nick name is Stank Foot, or just Stank for short. Enough said. As far as off-season goes. Their is none in our house or on our team. One week off, tryouts the next, practice this week. Fall league starts in two. Tourney in a month. Its no wonder why I have basically gave up on the smell in my truck. I think I've become accustomed to it.
