fall softball league for 8 year old pitcher

I am looking for a fall softball league for my daughter who is 8. She pitches and plays second base. We are from the akron area but are willing to travel a little if needed. Also does anyone know about the spanodome if they can place kids on teams or do you need to bring a team. Any information would be great.

There isn't a lot of fall ball in the area in the 10U division. There are a few tourneys however. Your best bet would be to hook up with a team this tryout season which begins the 2nd week of August. Be sure to ask what the teams plans are for the fall. The Spano does not offer any ball in the younger divisions until late winter/spring and they deal with teams only. Our club, Lake Erie DiamondCHIX fields a 9U (1997) team as well as a 10U team. This fall we will be looking at potential strong pitchers to fill our 9U staff for 2007. Our club is centered out of Strongsville, but that team is about 50/50 with girls also from Highland (Granger, Hinckley, Sharon).

We have a core of 10 girls in place and if enough are avialable, we will play fallball...probably in Huron as that was the only viable league we heard of last year, although one may be started in Brunswick.
