I heard that there was a roster protest filed against the Lil' Slammers for allegedly using a pitcher from another team on Saturday. What became of that?

Buck I, wouldn't you try to use an illegal pitcher if you were about to get slammed (no pun attended) 8-0 by the Pitts Spirit? At least we won't have to hear about advanced training methods, players ages and team stats for another week!

There was a situation brought to the site director?s attention concerning the eligibility of a 12U pitcher at this tournament. One of the opposing teams said that they recognized the girl from her unique pitching style and that she pitched against them earlier in the year in Vienna for another team, but that the names were not the same on the line-up cards.

Unfortunately this situation could not be resolved because the team in question had completed their games for the day and had left the facility. The girl in question was not present for any of the following day?s games, so her identity (or her parents) could not be verified one way or the other.
