The University of Minnesota Crookston athletic department has launched a podcast entitled "Golden Eagle Insider". The podcast is hosted by Director of Athletic Communications Shawn Smith, and Assistant Marketing and Communications Director Hunter Plante. Golden Eagle Insider keeps Minnesota Crookston fans up-to-date with the latest happenings in Golden Eagle athletics. It is available via Spotify, Radio Public, Libsyn, and Apple Podcasts. In the 11th episode, Smith and Plante sit down with Minnesota Crookston softball Head Coach Travis Owen, as they discussed how his first season is going with the Golden Eagles. In addition, they talk about how the team's trip to Florida went, and what they are expecting in conference play. Smith and Plante also talked about the early success of the Minnesota Crookston baseball program, as well as keying in on the men's and women's golf teams, the tennis team, and the awards earned by Harrison Cleary of the men's basketball team.
