The Greenville Fall Fastpitch League is an oppertunty for players to continue to improve thier skills for six weeks in the fall. The league will be divided into two divisions: 6th-9th grade and 3rd ? 5th grade. PLEASE NOTE: The grades listed above are what the player will be going into in the 2006 school year.

The Greenville League will play games on Sundays beginning August 21st and running thru September 25th. All Teams will play a doubleheader each Sunday. There are NO practices so we can avoid any conflict with school fall sports. Game times will start at 12:00pm and continue every 1:30 minutes. Games will be played at the Stebbins Field Complex in Greenville.

If you are interested in coaching a team please feel free to contact us.

If you have any further questions, please email me at ohiowave@woh.rr.com or call anytime at 937-603-6136.

Registration forms can be found at our website at www.ohiowave.com Just click on the link in the upper right hand corner.

Thank you for the excellent response so far. We still have some room available in both age groups.

We can handle 10 - 12 teams in the Jr. High age group and 4 to 6 teams in the machine pitch league.

There have been some questions about the machine pitch league regarding weather players will be able to pitch or not. What we will do is play the first 3 innings with the machine, and the last 3 innings with player pitch. This will allow for a decent amount of playablity and for pitchers to get some work in.

Again, we welcome entire teams in this league or we will be happy to place any individual with a team that is not yet full.

If you are interested in coaching or have a group of players that you want to play together please feel free to contact me directly at 937-603-6136. We will do what we can to accomidate you.

The deadline for signing up is 8-14-05

Thanks,

Rich

I just printed out the registration form and have 1 question....

The form lists one price for Jr. high division and the web site list one $10 lower. I will probably be writing a check when I submit the registration and wanted to make sure which figure is correct before sending it in.

Thanks!

Jim

I corrected the mistake on the form. The actuall cost is the lower amount.

For those who may have sent in the higher amount they will be credited on the 21st at thier first game.

softballkid, to answer your question, no we do not have the older age group here in Greenville for fall ball. We only go up to players going into 9th grade.

I wuld suggest that you look at the Celina Fall league. My daughter played up there a few years and really liked it.

12danger, no it is not too late.
Currently it looks like we will have 7 or 8 teams.

If you have a few players who want to play together you can do that as well.

You can get our application at www.ohiowave.com or just call me at 937-603-6136 if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Rich

Tommorrow (Saturday is the last day to sign up. If you are interested please go to www.ohiowave.com and download the application and send it in right away.

However you will need to call me at 937-603-6136 to let me know that you are in. Teams will be completed Saturday evening.

There have been many questions about the machine pitch league. Our intention is to play the 1st 3 innings of the game via machine pitch and then have players pitch the remaining innings. This will give all of the players at the 3rd thru 5th grade level a good expereince.

Thanks,

Rich

Thought I would past our experiences this afternoon in Greenville...

Everything was very weel organized and well run. The coaches were excellent and the timing of the start of each set of games was very reasonable for the 1st week of a league.

I thought I would offer my thanks for a job well done....

Jim,
thank you for the kind words. It is always nice to hear that when so much work and effort goes into making a decent playing environment for the players.

Things were a little hectic at first but once the games started I think that it went very well.

The teams looked pretty equal and the level of play was very good.

See eveyone next weekend.

Rich
