Our high school score book keepers are a kid who graduated last year and her mom. Why on earth they have any desire to come to high school softball games that they aren't involved in is beyond me.
This girl absolutely hates my kid. She took "her spot" as a freshman, you see.
Long story short, my kid loses hits all the time. I bet she's had 3 taken from her just this week. Last night she hit a nice line shot to right field. The girl playing out there was playing real deep. On a dead sprint forward she laid out and the ball hit directly in front of her glove and bounced over top of her.
I heard one of them say to the other "She shouldn't have been playing so deep,,, error."
So a big thanks to you all of you fine folks for all you do. If any of it mattered I'd say something to the coach and put a stop to it.
It will be more fun when she bats .500 anyway.
