Press Release: (Chicago Clinic Canceled)

Overland Park, KS has been chosen to host a Fastpitch Coaches Clinic featuring three of the top skills instructors in the nation. ?The clinic will be held on Saturday, February 24th from 8:00 - 5:00 at the Holiday Inn and Suites at 87th street and I-35.

Steve Englishbey is the featured hitting instructor. ?Steve comes to Kansas City from Sugerland, TX to share his techniques for teaching the elite swing. ?Among others, he'll help you answer these questions: ?How do you develop an Elite-Level Swing? ?What do we really need to do? What do elite level hitters do that young hitters need to learn to do? Can this swing be taught? More importantly, can your young hitter learn to swing a bat like an elite athlete?

Bill Hillhouse is the featured pitching instructor. ?Bill traveled from Erie, PA to talk about pitching with us. ?"It is my goal as a pitching instructor to teach basic thru advanced fundamentals in Fastpitch softball pitching. Unlike many other coaches out there, I do this through my own experience of pitching World Class softball at the highest levels possible since 1990. There are so few coaches out there with actual Fastpitch experience, and even fewer with credentials and accolades from the most prestigious and recognized Fastpitch softball events and teams around the world. Having been there, done that at all levels of Fastpitch, I can help you become a champion whether you're just beginning or a pitcher on your country's National team. Have confidence in knowing that your coach is not only teaching how to win, but has been a winner himself". - Bill Hillhouse

Howard Kobata is the featured defensive instructor. ?Howard comes to us from Southern California where as a summer coach he has two state championships, one USA National Championship and three Top 10 finishes at nationals. Upon retiring from the coaching scene, Howard started giving defensive lessons locally. His defensive clinics have grown from once a week to three times a week. From local clinics, he is now being called across the country to conduct clinics, including the University of Arizona Candrea clinic. Howard feels that his ability to break down the different defensive techniques, and his logical explanations has made him a standout in the defensive area of the game.

::)Just don't get him started on jazz drummers (my husband's a drummer, so I can follow the conversation) Steve yacks more on his website about drummers than he does about hitting---lol! ;D
