SWOBAT welcomes Pete Spoerl:

Two weeks ago we had the privilege of working together at SWOBAT?s with Crystl Bustos, Jennie Finch, Laura Berg and Howard Carrier. I want to Thank you for your participation and remind you as of November 1, 2008, I will be available at SWOBAT to continue the teaching methods that Crystl Bustos and Howard Carrier were using and teaching at the clinic. I have been working with Howard Carrier for about one month now and I am committed to using his concepts and teaching methods to instruct hitters of all ages.

Please visit our web site, www.softball.softball.org to schedule an appointment or call me, Pete Spoerl at 513-703-6329.

SWOBAT is located at 9230 Port Union Rd. West Chester, OH 45069. It is an indoor facility with a 120?x 120? field and cages for rent.

I have been playing men?s Fastpitch for over 20 years and have started using Crystl?s and Howard?s method for hitting and have went from being strictly a line drive hitter to one that will most likely have a much higher slugging percentage in the 2009 season. I have played every position, except pitcher. I also offer fielding lessons and coaches clinics.

I look forward to working with everyone and Thank You to Howard Carrier for teaching me what he and Crystl use to teach you!

For those in the Cincinnati area, give Pete a try. My dd had Pete at his station at the Swobat Clinic. She told me he did a great job and she is a Howard student.

As the mom of one of Howards girls and knowing how Howard is, there would not be a person giving lessons using his name without his blessing! I got to meet Pete for the first time when we did the clinic and have to say he definately is excited about getting to work with the local talent. SWOBAT will be a great location and anyone wanting to get in with Howard and not being able to due to his full schedule need to check out the facility and Pete.

I have been working with Pete for a month now and feel his heart is in the right place and that he cares about the kids and agrees with what we teach....some I have worked with do not agree with what we do or how we do it however Pete has embraced it and used it himself not only in actual games but also in his teaching.

I called people before I started working with him and feel Doug Gillis is about as good as it gets and he has know Pete for several years.

It is nice working with someone who has been basically a singles hitter in his career and within a month he started getting better contact and more power and he has been in the game a long time!

He better learn how to hit home runs or his legs may not hold up as now he has to run past first base....welcome to the team Pete.

I welcome him as I can not possibly handle all the kids wanting instruction so please feel free to call him 513-703-6329.

The kids and their parents commented to me that they enjoyed his method of teaching and communicating with the kids and he will be part of our clinics in the future....the very near future!

Thanks Howard
