LOL !

I remember when that Katjoebenmom thought Obama should be the next head on Mnt Rushmore...

Quackeman had some interesting political ideas himself.

If you didnt agree with Cgs , she would get mad, announce she was leaving forever and be back in a month.

Scott (Daddy Dice) was over the top non politically correct but some of his stuff was absolutely hilarious. One of the nicest guys youd meet.

Oldest DD subbed for CGS a couple of times. As a 10U parent at the time, I went nuts when they sued her on Sundays for base-running situations as she was sub 2.9. I didn't feel she should be playing as she was a sub, and a parent calmly told me, welcome to 16U. Once you get to this age, dd's are established and your dd is the fastest player on this team and she's an asset. Taught me a whole new world.

Remember the bar fight that Kat started? That was a post padder if there ever was one including thw silly...what are you listening to now.

KJBM had 2-3 post-padders running at a time (e.g. ask the person following you a question, food yuck/yum). Merlion was very prolific on the what-are-you-listening-to-now threads.

August 2002 for me...Joe weren't you posting for Worthington Spirit tryouts that became Wotyhington Heat..that became Buckeye Heat ect ect :) :)

Lee, yes I probably was and that would have been around 1999-2002. I know I registered on JJHuddle in early 2000 and I think OFC about the same time. I haven't looked at the Huddle in years. They ruined that site when they bought it from JJ and tried to charge people. Softball people all left, never to return, even though I'm sure it's free now. Talk about a poor job of forecasting the future, thinking they would be able to charge for an Internet message board.

Joe not sure why JJ charged they already get paid by advertisers for hit's on site I believe. That's why controversy even if it's all bogus is good for forums because more people check back to watch the nonsense which means more hit's and more money.

I guess I'm going to answer my own question now. To make more money, but yes bad idea to charge to register.

That could be a topic. "Would you pay to join OFC if you had to"

Well first kiddo was 12U and now she's 22 so I'm guessing 2005ish. Have seen some interesting people come and go:
BigTrain, DaddyDice, Quakerman, CGS, The Bear, Wingnut and many more. All I know is, this site gave & gives me some incredible information on not only Ohio softball but it's starting to creep into national level as well.
I have no doubt that this site helped me as a parent/coach be much more successful than if I had to get info from tournament flyers. The tryout section alone would have been worth the price of admission.

This site is so intriguing to me that both my daughters are done with ball but I still visit to see how everyone is doing.
