There are some softball sanctioning bodies that differentiate the base award on a thrown ball going out of play, depending on if the throw was from the infield or outfield. Off the top of my head I believe that NSA does. But most don't- not ASA, or high school or NCAA.

And even in the ones that do, the difference isn't that one of them is a one-base award and the other is a two-base award. They are both two-base awards. The difference is that one is two bases from where the runners were at the time of the pitch and the other is two bases from where the runners were at the time of the throw.
