Our batting cages and bullpens have just had astroturf installed, the pitching rubbers are still in dirt. We ask that the players who use the batting cages wear gym shoes while in the cages, additionally we ask that the catchers wear gym shoes in the bullpen, the pitchers can wear whatever they want.

There is no monetary reason at all why a call can be called to favor one side, especially when it goes to a college kid.

Maybe tape a $20 to the back of your catcher's helmet. I've also heard that free food coupons or just free food works too. So, you could sent your catcher out with a fist full of McDonalds coupons or a cheeseburger and a drink.
