Lady Lasers Orange at ASA

OK for my first and last thread bragging about my team the 12U Lady Lasers Orange.

After a tough start in Pool play (we went 1-1). We went into elimination play against the California State Champs (Lakewood Ladies) and got handled pretty well. (they were awesome.) We then went on a roll and finished in 13th place at this great event ending with a 5-3 record and sending teams home from Florida- Coral Springs Panthers, California - Corona Angels 94, and Texas- the Texas Glory. Before losing our 4th game of the day against the San Jose Sharks 4-2.

I'm not much of a bragger but could not resist telling my girls and everyone else about this great event for us.

Congrats on a great year, and being another team that stood tall and showed well for Ohio this year. Thanks for all your other help to the "young" Silver's during the year as well. Way to battle those warm weather teams!

This week was a great experience for the team. The way the team played and battled all week (especially Thursday night and all day Friday) is a tribute to you. Thanks for allowing the team to realize their season-long goal of playing at ASA Nationals against the best teams in the nation. The memories from this week will last a lifetime. Thank you for the memories.

I agree with everything you said GrizzFP, and along with the memories, the girls have all learned the big "C" word, COMPOSURE!!

coach congrats u are first class what people do not understand is the teams that were in this tournament are great each have about 130 games in and we as slammers were proud of u guys cheering for us and us cheering for u we was great to see 2 ohio teams backing each other good luck next year
