The Lookouts '07 Premier team based out of Akron, OH will be holding in-person tryouts July 27th at 6:00pm at Logan Field 99 Vaughn Rd, Akron OH 44319 and August 4th at 6:30pm at Kent State University, Allen Sports Complex, 1565 Campus Center Dr, Kent, OH 44240. Private/Confidential Tryouts are available on request. We have a strong core group of players, but all positions are open with a focus on top-level pitching, high-level hitting, and premier-level athletes.We are finishing up our second year as a team, and are very happy with the growth of the team. So far this season we have been very competitive team sitting at 25-12-2. Next year we look to be one of the most competitive '07 teams in Ohio. We have a very professional coaching staff and Lookouts Program Director who are fully committed to player growth, no nonsense softball and playing the most competitive softball we can.
Our off-season training is second to none. We train at the Kent State Field House in the winter as a team, and will have individual team practices in addition to the program workouts. We are proud to say that we believe we are doing more for player development and family support than anyone else in Northeast Ohio. We have team instruction with Micaela Minner for hitting, Tracee McCoy for defensive work, and Mandee Luers for pitching clinics. Our professional instructors are tasked with giving advice and helping players with the mental aspect of the game but do not change what is working for players. We provide FREE college recruiting seminars for families and players, FREE coaching seminars for all coaches, and a FREE dedicated College Recruiting Coordinator to help all families with the recruiting process.
We will play a highly competitive schedule this fall such as Outlaws/D1, Diamond Chix Pumpkin Smash, Demarini Fall Brawl, etc. We will also participate in high level winter camps such as KSU, Akron, YSU, etc. Next summer we plan on playing in top tournaments around the Midwest with a focus on college recruiting and showcase events.
We are looking for families and players fully committed to playing the highest level of competition, while being great teammates and families in the organization.
