Possibly the most beautiful complex I have ever coached at. Our team didn't have a game tonight, but we came early to watch and enjoy the surroundings. Awesome TD. Very nice and helpful. All our pool play games are tomorrow.

This was a very well run tournament. Chris the TD was very good to work with and was visible and approachable the entire weekend. I was given my schedule in a timely manner. Email and their web site were both used to communicate schedules, brackets, hotels, addresses, etc. They had 12u thru 18u divisions. 10u was dropped from a lack of teams.

--The Field of Dreams (FOD) complex in Boardman has got to be one of the nicest complexes in the state! What a nice park. The fields were dynamite and the grounds crew couldn't do enough to have them ready to play.

--The restooms at FOD are modern, flushing, and were kept clean all weekend. The concessions were restaurant like although they did not have a chili for the hot-dogs.

--We had one game at Boardman HS and this field, also, was dynamite. My one gripe would be there wasn't a restroom close by...no porta john either. The girls had to walk about 1/4 mile away to the tennis building and use the men's room. Kind of creepy. But, hey, what do you expect at a very poor, economically challenged school district like Boardman... (obvious joke here!) Boardman HS is bigger than my hometown!

--The umpires were very good. They were polite, and helpful with questions about rules, line-ups, DP/FLEX etc.

--The FOD complex is surrounded by one of the most substantial retail shopping areas in the country. EVERY restaurant and shop is located in this town. What a great place for a weekend tournament!

--There was a $3 charge per car to enter the FOD but what I liked was I saw some of the youth whose organization benefits from the proceeds working the gates. Good to get the kids involved in their league.

--I would recommend this tournament. It is a nice, Mid-July tournament for those not going to Columbus.
