Lady Twisters 16U Open Tryouts for 2017-2018 Season

Lady Twisters is hosting open tryouts for the 2017-2018 Season. This will be a second year 16U team coming off a very successful 15U Season playing 16U.

Dates:

August 2nd - 6:00pm with sign ups at 5:30pm
August 13th - 1:00pm with sign ups at 12:30pm

Hocking Park in Lancaster, OH - for GPS use 1001 Pratt Ave, Lancaster, OH 43130

We can also host a private tryout in Lancaster, OH or Pickerington, OH. Please call to schedule if you can not attend our open tryouts. We look to have our roster complete shortly after our second open tryout.

Our 2017 Season included a finish of 6-1 in the Capital City Showdown to start the season. Tied for 5th at the USSSA Southern State Tournament, Champions of the USSSA Queen of Diamonds Tournament, Runner-Up in the Pickerington Fastpitch & Fireworks. Qualified for the USSSA Nationals and will be heading to Ocean City, MD to play later this summer.

Our 2018 schedule will be similar to 2017 and will included many good local tournament like the Capital City Showdown, Lasers, and we will be attending a "softball and vacation" destination for the summer of 2018. Either Myrtle Beach, Ocean City, MD, or other family friendly location.

This team just completed our week at the USSSA Nationals in Salisbury, MD. Finished tied for 25th out of 76 teams as a first year 15U team in the 16U Open division. Lost 4 games to teams that went on to finish tied for 13th, tied for 5th, 4th, and 3rd. So, not bad if you consider the teams we lost to finished that high overall.

Looking to add a catcher and outfielder to this talented group. Another pitcher is always helpful, but mostly looking for athletes that want to compete and can play two or more positions.
