This game was by far the best game that had been played in Akron all week. A classic pitchers duel. Sara Pearson and Paige Myers went toe to toe all 7 innings each giving up only 2 hits each. Both runs for Grove City were unearned on a ball that took a bad bounce on the East shortstop. Both pitchers were "the real deal". Hopefully, Sara Pearson (junior) gets another chance next year with this experience under her belt.
