Saturday, April 7th is the final chance for athletes to participate in the USA Softball 12U All American Games first round tryout that is being held in conjunction with a skills clinic at the Billy Dome in Alliance. There is still time to sign up. Email klinder@aspirehighersports.com or call or text 330-22-5197 to sign up.
TRYOUT IS FOR
FOR 12U ATHLETES FROM FOR REGION 2 OHIO/WEST VIRGINIA
CLINIC WILL INCLUDE:
INSTRUCTION: Hitting, bunting, base running, footwork, throwing, and fielding.
Please note this clinic will not have pitching instruction but pitchers will pitch to be looked at for consideration for the All American Team.
INSTRUCTORS:
· Karen Linder, retired Ashland University and KSU coach with 800 college career victories and 12 championship titles, owner of Aspire Higher Softball, Grand Slam instructor, coach of the USA All American Games Region 2 OH/ WV team.
· Sheilah Gulas, retired Ashland University head coach and NFCA Hall of Famer with 900 college career victories and coach of the USA All American Games Region 2 OH/WV team.
· Bill Hileman, head of the Maddogs Organization, developed and coached several outstanding athletes who played collegiately at all levels
· Kelli Metzger, manager and instructor for the Maddogs Organization, University of Akron All American
COST FOR CLINIC AND FEE TO TRYOUT FOR 12U JUNE 2018 ALL AMERICAN GAMES: $55 includes USA Softball t-shirt. Try out is recommended for 11 – 12 year olds who have played at a high travel ball level.
