Starting to do live feeds and recordings. Whats the best way? Go pro iphone using Facebook to a team page? Or athletes go live with their camera that’s water proof and has an internal cooler good up to 140 degrees?

depends on what your using it for.

athletesgo live is set up for recruiting and or parents to watch etc... they sign up and some have to pay, some may get a free password.

using go pro and facebook live - i dont have experience with facebook live. i guess if you have good contacts with college recruiters and coaches it could work.

I believe Facebook live isn’t going to work unless you have College Coaches that are ready and willing to watch. The problem with Facebook is you have to start your Feed then send a link to the Coaches that will watch, then hope they watch. On top of all this you have to worry about good stream quality, buffering and a great connection.

I think I would try athlete’s go but from reports I’ve gotten from College Coaches it’s not that great either.
But maybe they work the bugs out by now.

I watch alot of games on YouTube. It is by far the best way to organize a collection of games. It is easy to follow a team and go back and watch games from years ago with no cost.

AthletesGoLive.

hands down the best out there right now. Our Recruiting Coordinator is on their advisory board and got us one of their cameras. Pretty nice setup.

The score keeping is a little rough to do but we don’t use it to keep scores. Just feeds for college coaches and families that can’t make it.

we get a ton of traffic every weekend from college coaches and families watching. Our recruiting coordinator puts together a report and it lets me know who watched, how long they watch, and how many games.
Very useful tool.

I guess I'm a little confused. Is this about recruiting or just getting the games online so people can watch live and/or at a later date?

you would have to ask OP for their specifics on the original question. IMO - As far as value goes i would say a very valuable tool for recruiting right now. dead period keeps getting pushed back. hard for anyone to see live game action so this has a lot of value if it is used properly and girls are very detailed with games times location and all that jazz. other wise college coaches wont waste time if they dont know who they are trying to watch because of lack of details and communication. If your game is delayed due to weather you need to follow up and let the coaches know this too or they wont see you.

Thank you for the input. This is a mix of both for just watching and letting colleges know where they could see her play.
