I would certainly hope that being this close to nationals that teams wouldn't be forced to play under extreme circumstances and jepordize getting someone injured just for the sake of $$$$$$$. If it's that bad in Loudenville cancelling would be nothing to be ashamed of.

I DO HOPE the weather pans out for the best! Is Mother Nature yet again PROTESTING softball at it's finest?

GOOD LUCK to all teams this weekend - and as they progress to their respective national tournaments! Represent yourselves and OHIO well!

fields aren't that close to the real heavily damaged areas.... with a day to dry out i imagine they will be fine.

Just make sure that you check to see whether Route 3 is open if you are coming from the South. As of this morning, it was closed just South of the Route 97 turnoff. If you take Route 97 to reach Route 3 you will be ok.

I would be nice if someone close to the situation could keep everyone updated as to the progress of conditions otherwise all we get is one person claiming the fields are underwater and others saying it's ok. What is the real story? It starts tomorrow and people will need to make plans if things change. Please don't wait until 5:30 Friday with a 1000 people standing around to make a decision. The weather service is calling for a possibility of showers and thunderstorms each day.

Actually, the weather service shows it as sunny today through Saturday with only isolated thunderstorms on Sunday. And.....the previous two posters seem pretty close to the situation to me?

Strange......I just looked at the national weather service web site and put in "Loundonville, Ohio" and it calls for a 30% chance of rain and thunderstorms for Friday and Saturday and then clear on Sunday. Friday also says thunderstorms likely after 2pm. Maybe there are two Loudonville's in Ohio. Of course we all know how accurate the weather guys are.

Due to Mother Nature the Loudonville 18U Tournament is cancelled. I thank everyone for their patience and support.

I wish all the scheduled teams good luck with their season and hope to see you in 2007.
