We pride ourselves on the fundamentals of fastpitch softball and on the development of the players as female athletes, not limited to softball skills, but also as players of character and pride with a strong desire to compete. Our teams are based out of Central Ohio but compete at venues throughout the state. We believe that serious competitive fastpitch should be fun as well as educational, and try to select girls, families, and coaches that share that belief. the Marion Lady Eagles have been based on the principle that doing things the right way leads to incredible results both on and off the field. The coaching staff practices high-positive coaching techniques while expecting maximum effort at all softball related activities.
Details about the Marion Lady Eagles, here is what we are looking for:
· Players who want to seek out education & experience and commit to playing competitive softball.
· Players who want to learn the fundamentals and advanced strategies of softball.
· Parents and Players who want to commit to being involved with softball except for November and December.
What we offer:
· We encourage the girls to play multiple sports and will work around other sport commitments.
· We teach the girls values of teamwork and commitment in addition to high level softball training and fundamentals.
· We teach the game of softball as it should be taught. Fundamentals and strategy focused performance.
“Commit to your team, to your development, own your attitude, your development, believe in yourself, in your teammates, respect yourself, your teammates, your coaches, and your umpires at all times, apply yourself at every practice, every game, be a team and have fun.”
What to expect:
· We will practice weekly and play 1 or 2 tournaments in the fall.
· We will take November and December off.
· We will practice in the winter and possibly scrimmage other tournament teams, Facility TBD.
· We will enter tournaments in the spring/summer.
· Player Fees will always be reasonable, and the payment fee schedule will be workable for each player and their families. Cost should never be a prohibiting factor!
