Must attend event - college combine - featuring top regional talent

Attention players wanting to play college softball,

On behalf of the Cincy Slammers Fastpitch Club and various travel and high
school coaches and private instructors, we invite you to our 1st annual
college combine featuring the top 100 high school players and the top 25
eighth grade players in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Tennessee, and
Illinois.

This annual college combine will be held on August 3rd and 4th, 2015. We
are specifically hosting this event following the completion of various
national tournaments to ensure full attendance of our top regional talent.
Our objective is to provide college coaches with an ultra-efficient assessment of
top players including game performance. To ensure you find value attending
this event, we have engaged one of the most sought after college combine
directors in the Midwest. He has experience managing college combines
throughout the country for over 30 years.

The event will be held at Expressway Park in Milford, OH. Expressway Park
is located off of I-275 on the east side on Cincinnati and is within a few
miles of high quality hotels and restaurants. Expressway Park has 5
professionally manicured fields; two large pavilions; a concession area; and
ample seating and filming locations. We will provide a healthy BBQ style
lunch on the first day of the event and open concession on the second day of
the event.

The two day schedule includes a "pro style" showcase by position, BP for
each player followed by 8 live games.

College coaches attending will be provided a binder which includes complete
rosters of all 8 teams, comprehensive player profiles and the itinerary for
the two day event. Each game will have 2 tenured and certified umpires and
a field maintenance crew for touch ups between games. There will be 25
highly regarded travel/high school coaches and private instructors to assist
with the skill assessments, games, and administrative duties on both days.

We are inviting college coaches at all divisional levels from Midwest,
Southeast and Middle South areas of the country. We are excited about

I sure do hope this continues, my daughter is 9 and entering the 4th grade. Looking ahead to four years from now, is she continues to work at her craft, we would love to make a trip for this event to Milford, Ohio in 2019. Good luck and thanks for the vision!!

Who decides who the top players are? Are you inviting kids to be there? Ignorant to how this works so I wanted to ask the question.

It is based on an honors system. If your players or your daughter is(are) a competitive player(s) who desire(s) to play in college, encourage them/her to sign up. There will be representation from all schools, DI through NAIA. Thanks for asking.

Is it possible to see the list of college coaches who have confirmed? I know my daughter is the top of our league and high school but I am not sure if I could say she is in the top 100 of our state. Also, how are the players assigned to a team during the 8 live games?

It sounds like your daughter should attend. The selection is based on an honor system. We are looking for top high school and club players. If your daughter desires to play in college, please sign her up. We will have DI, DII, DIII and NAIA schools there. I do not have permission from the schools to list their names publically, but I can tell you the event will be well attended and have coaches from all levels. Julie, Although it would be great to know what Colleges will be represented, could you share who the Combine Director is? I think the list of coaches (travel, HS and College) attending would set this off nicely as you have already sparked plenty of interest. The list my turn it into a wildfire.

The Combine Director is Jay Basil and I am assisting him along with other head and assistant coaches from our club. We have over 20 college coaches committed so far. They represent schools from TN, KY, OH, IN, MI and PA. I actually have to have their permission to list them on the website, but I can tell you it is a good mixture of DI, DII, DIII and NAIA. We could use your help to attract high caliber players wishing to play in college.
