COVINGTON, Ga. – The North Carolina Central University softball team split a pair of one-run games on day one of the HBCU Softball Collegiate Invitational at the Turner Lake Softball Complex on Friday, defeating Alabama State University, 4-3, before falling to Alcorn State University, 7-6.
