Need help choosing a team? Try the Team Decision Matrix...

My kid has been going to tryouts out and stressing over picking a team. So trying to help her decide, I created this simple little decision matrix.

Just fill in the teams, decision factor weight, and the numbers (scale of 1-10) and it will calculate and score what team should be best for you.

I'm going to try and attach in case anyone else may find it useful. (Zipped Excel file)

We use problem solving steps
1. List each team
2. List pros and cons for each team
3. Math= 1 pro cancels out 1 con ect. Add up whats left
4.Highest number wins

Matrix was interesting...used even though my daughter had already picked her team. Funny thing was that it came out the same, interesting.

Ha - the formula works!

Get a coin and assign one team choice heads and the other tails. Flip it but don't look at it. If when you look you are hoping it will be either, your choice is already made. If you decide to try for 2 out of 3, your choice is definitely made!

Daughter picked team already. Used formula and came out all different than her choice... Hope thats not a bad omen!!! LOL
