Need help with a question regarding guest players and roster moves

Can a player playing above their age on a 12U roster play as a guest on a 10U team? Also, is there a limit to how many times a player can change rosters in a season?

The rules vary by sanction (e.g. ASA, NSA, etc) and type of event (qualifier/national vs local tourney). What are you looking to do?

We plan to play local (within 2 to 3 hours of our area) and do mostly USSSA and ASA.

It all boils down to birthdate. As far as switching rosters is not a big deal in sanctioning bodies, but its frowned upon pulling girls down that play up because they are studs at the next level above. The girl is really not switching teams, she is just on two different rosters. It only gets sticky if both teams win a bid somewhere and she is locked to a roster
