New Indoor Facility in Dayton?

Has anyone heard anything about Extra Innings in Miamisburg? I checked out their web site www.extrainnings-miamisburg.com and it looks like a great place with some good instructors. Does anyone know anything about it or been there yet?

Looks like a really nice place!

The Dayton area seems to be really hopping in the area of baseball and softball. A new complex, The Ballfields at Gateway Sportspark, is set to open this spring. It will feature 8 fields. Someone who attended their open house last weekend told me it is a great looking park. Anybody plan on attending any tournaments there this year?

Looks good, but a word of advice, U before the age usually refers to soccer. Softball age group has the U after the age #. Just a pet peeve of mine and others.

Does anyone know who the softball pitching and hitting instructors are at the Extra Innings facility in Miamisburg?

I believe that the instructors are listed on the Extra Innings website.


**Learned something new about the boards tonight. If you type in "U" then the age (ie: soccer style), when you save your post it automatically corrects what you typed and flips it around to read "softball style" (age then "U&quot. Strange...but kind of cool! Kind of like if you use the "soccer style" age designation, the system flags it as a vulgarity and edits your post! ;D

I believe you can thank the Bear May for the codeing that causes that to happen. It used to really upset alot of us "fastpitch softballers" and especially JoeA as I recall because as we all know JoeA won't even say the so***r word.

I think there's going to be a softball hitting clinic at Extra Innings on the 20th...I'm not exactly sure on the date but it might be something to check out...see who the instructors are...who knows.

I was at extrainnings last night. It is a very nice place. You rent a lane where you can hit throw or even field if you want to. Very nice people working last night.
