Non Parent coaching

I have seen several tryout threads that talk about having non parent coaching or organizations looking for non parent coaching.

While at theNCFA camp I was talking to a coach from a 16U central Indiana team that was a nonparent coach paid $2500 to coach the team for the summer
(7 tournaments).

She had a assistant that she split rooms with but said the $2500 barely covered the travel expenses.

How is the other teams working this out? I have talked to a few others that have said each weekend a couple players parents sponsor the coach with fuel, meals, hotels etc.

We are thinking of bringing on two college players as coaches (So you know they have no money)...I am looking for input on what has been the best way of compensating the coaches and if there are any outside issues that could cause tax issues etc that people have run into.

Thanks

wow I must be doing something wrong then cause we don't get paid anything. I've even paid for my own hotel rooms. I'm curious what these teams team fees are to afford this kind of compensation.

Yeah, but not everyone has their own thread...

She said their fees were around $1800 but the team was in more premier events with higher entry fees. The Org. does fundraisers (run by the parents not the coaches) to help offset fees.

Thanks for all the PMs. It Looks like most teams just charge and additional two three hundred per girl in place of the family sponosorship thing.
