New California Fastpitch is based out of northwest Columbus, fielding players from Union, Madison and Franklin counties.
General Information: o Tryout field: Harry Wolfe field (9777 Industrial Pkwy Plain City, OH 43064)
o Indoor Practice Facility in downtown Plain City ; facility includes infield and two netted batting cages
Overview:
We are looking to build a competitive team with players with specialization in positions.
We utilize an indoor facility for six months, from November through April. Our indoor practices will be consistently scheduled (same day/time). Practices will be moved outdoors as soon as weather permits.
We plan to participate in the 270 league program and play six summer tournaments in 2016; most will be in the central Ohio vicinity. Our fees for the 2015-16 are very reasonable and we will offer optional fundraising opportunities to offset the fees. We also try to gain sponsorships to further reduce player costs; all of which will be highlighted on a team banner. Fees will cover insurance, uniforms, practice facility/field rental, umpire fees and tournament fees.
Open public tryouts will be held on August 6[SUP]th [/SUP](6-8pm), 9[SUP]th[/SUP] (3-6pm) and 15[SUP]th [/SUP](3-6pm) at Harry Wolfe
