RALEIGH, N.C. – The 12th ranked Randolph-Macon Softball team finished their weekend at the Grand Slam Triangle Classic with a sweep on Sunday, beating McDaniel in the first game of the day 6-4 before beating host William Peace in five innings by a score of 9-1. Senior Shelby Hill (Mechanicsville, Va. / St. Margaret’s) went 5 for 8 on the day and drove in three runs while sophomore Erin Doyle (Moseley, Va. / Cosby High School) launched her second home run of the weekend and drove in two. Seniors Sami Davidson (Stafford, Va. / Brooke Point), Sam Scifres (Midlothian, Va. / Clover Hill), and Maddie Stone (Glen Allen, Va. / Glen Allen) also put in multi-hit and multi-RBI performances on the day.
