OhioBobcatSB to Hold Indoor Softball League
Games will be played on Sundays in November
ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio Softball team is offering high school teams (grades 9-12) the opportunity to compete in an indoor softball league where they can receive instructional guidance from the Ohio softball coaches and compete against neighboring high schools.
Games would be on Sundays during November (1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th) from 9:00 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. - 9:15 p.m. There is a ten game guarantee for each team that signs up. Each team will either play two games in the morning session or two games in the afternoon session.
Games will be played at the Ohio University Walter Fieldhouse and will be either seven innings or last an hour and fifteen minutes. The league will follow Ohio High School rules with exception of unlimited re-entry into the game. High school teams can play together but cannot be coached by their high school coach. The cost will be $800 per team and the softball team is looking to get twelve teams to compete in the league.
